Crow's Feet
Crow’s feet are smile lines and lines below the eyes

These are the lines that form around the eyes on smiling, and that over time become permanently imprinted even when we are not smiling.  Some people like them and interpret them as adding character.

For those of us who don’t like them, treatment comes in 2 forms:

1.    Skillful Botox administration around the outer aspect of the eye sockets and the lower eyelids well away from the muscles controlling eyeball movement.  This prevents the wrinkles that form only on active smiling.  Botox here has the added advantage of raising the outer part of the eyebrow, creating a more youthful fresh alert appearance.  It can also slightly open the eyelid aperture with the same positive effect.
2.    Tissue filler injection of permanently imprinted lines and furrows to plump them out and, over several injection sessions, obliterate them.

Botox alone adequately prevents lines that appear only on smiling.  Both Botox and fillers are usually needed to obliterate the lines that are permanently imprinted as well as those additional ones that form on smiling.

Incorrect administration by a beginner or unqualified injector can lead to loss of normal eyeball movement and squinting, weakness of the upper lip and abnormal smiling and a droopy lower eyelid with a sad unattractive appearance.  Choose an experienced qualified Aesthetic Physician and you will not have any of these problems.
