Forehead Lines These include the vertical frown lines between the eyes (dealt with on a separate page) and the horizontal lines running from side to side across the whole brow.We deal with the latter on this page. Horizontal Lines Horizontal Forehead lines form initially only with muscle activity of the large “frontalis” forehead muscle (so called “dynamic lines”) but later become permanently imprinted leaving an aged troubled looking forehead. Before Botox After Skillful Botox injection into the forehead muscles can prevent the formation of the dynamic lines/wrinkles and thus also prevent permanent imprinting, if started young enough and regularly maintained. Permanent lines need to be filled out with tissue filler injections and this is best combined with Botox. At TLC we do not favour creating an expressionless "frozen" looking forehead. A smooth but moveable forehead is the aesthetic goal. Excessive Botox use to the forehead can cause inadvertent lowering of the eyebrows which is very detrimental to female facial appearance, making her look tired, hostile and grumpy. Skilled Botox administration by an experienced injector is very important in this area. We at Taryn Laine Clinic have thousands of forehead procedures as experience and have learned to treat it with great respect. It is a truly worthwhile facial zone to treat but one which beginner injectors frequently mess up. Choose your doctor well.
